The exhibitions will run December 3-4. The announcement follows the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding between North Events and the Greek National Commission for UNESCO that focuses on raising awareness and promoting the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Greece and its natural wealth. Within the framework of promoting Greece as a destination for quality visitors, the agreement aims to create the necessary synergies to promote and communicate tourism, gastronomy and culture. Grecka Panorama In the second Grecka Panorama, destinations and tourism businesses from every region of Greece will have the opportunity to address the public of Poland in a unique atmosphere, with sounds, colors, images and a Greek taste. Greek destinations are considered a top choice for Polish visitors, as last year the country welcomed over 700,000 Polish visitors, a 50 percent increase compared to the years 2013-2014. The Greek Food Festival Held in parallel with the second Grecka Panorama at the National Stadium PGE Narodowy, The Greek Food Festival will be the first event to present the rich culinary traditions and products of Greece in one of the largest markets in Europe. Between 2009-2014, Greek exports in Poland showed a 60 percent growth and exceeded the amount of three million euros, with main export products including fresh fruits, cheeses, fresh fish and fillets, and olive oil. Poland is a dynamically growing market, with a nearly 39 million population, with a growth-rate amongst the fastest in Europe, ranked already in 8th place as an important economic power within the European Union. The Greek Food Festival will aim to boost the image and identity of Greek products through a dynamic first-time ever presentation for the Greek food industry in Poland. The fair will be an opportunity to present new products and services, communicate with targeted buyers and expand cooperation’s by acquiring new dynamic clients. The Greek Travel and Trade Center, a private initiative of North Events together with Future Need Company, will be providing important support throughout the year for both exhibitions. The Greek Center opened recently and will provide systematic year-around presence for the Greek tourism and Greek export industries. The exhibitions are expected to attract leading tour operators that work with the Greek market who will promote sales for the next tourism season.
