The Tourism Awards 2016 rewarded the best practices of Greek companies and organizations in all sectors of travel, hospitality and leisure and applauded initiatives that encourage innovation and the quality of Greek tourism. Considered a pioneer in new technologies and best practices in digital marketing, Nelios attracted enthusiastic reviews for its practices and strategic planning in the categories in which it excelled. Ioannis Kyritsis, CEO of Axia Hospitality and Dimitris Serifis, CEO of Nelios received the Silver Award for their innovative service named “Hands Free Hotelier”, which is aimed to make life easier for today’s hotelier. Nelios was awarded with the Gold Award for the “Online presence and Communication” of the Poseidonion Grand Hotel and the Silver Award for the “most innovative concept, product, operating model or service provider / Start-up” for the Hands Free Hotelier, a joint cooperation with Axia Hospitality. The company was applauded for its social face and collected the Silver and Bronze awards in the category of “Support local communities Actions / CSR” for its projects concerning the Athens Authentic Marathon and Walk Athens. Nelios also scooped up the Bronze Award in the “Machine Utilization & Technical Search” category for Seajets. “An award signifies the acknowledgement of the continuous effort made by each one of us in the company, every single day, in order to achieve a result that we will all, as a team and including the customer, of course, be proud of at the end of the day”, Nelios’ CEO, Dimitris Serifis said.
