Three Greek Airlines Soaring Among Europe’s Top 50 for Punctuality

Aegean Airlines, Olympic Air and Ellinair have been listed among Europe’s most punctual carriers for the month of March by UK-based air travel intelligence firm OAG.

The three Greek carriers held positions in the first 22 airlines assessed for their punctuality based on the number of completed on-time flights. Ellinair, a Mouzenidis Group company, ranked 8th achieving 95 percent timely arrivals and 75 percent on-schedule departures.

Aegean Group carriers Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines were ranked 21st and 22nd respectively with the former achieving 90 percent timely arrivals and 91.9 percent departures, and the latter 89.9 percent on-time arrivals and 91.0 percent punctual departures. Both companies, which operate hundreds of weekly flights, outperformed major carriers with the exception of KLM which holds the 18th spot on the list.

Small carriers from Croatia, Germany and Norway clinched the top three spots.
