The Hands Free Hotelier global service was recognized with the Gold Award for Best Hotel Technology Innovation in the second edition of the Greek Hospitality Awards held last week at the Ethniki Asfalistiki Conference Center in Athens. Launched earlier this year by Greek companies Axia Hospitality and Nelios, Hands Free Hotelier is a global innovative service that aims to free the hotelier’s hands from the complexity of managing reservations, sales and marketing of a hotel unit. “Innovation acquires value when you provide a service, to those who trust you, that will make them stand out. This is the foundation that inspired our idea of Hands Free Hotelier, and this is the compass by which Greek hotels are guided towards success”, the CEO of Axia Hospitality, Giannis Kyritsis and CEO of Nelios, Dimitris Serifis, said in a joint statement. Axia Hospitality specializes in hotel reservation management and Nelios is the largest hotel-only digital advertising agency in Greece. The Hands Free Hotelier service, officially presented at the HORECA 2016 expo in February, already counts 20 cooperations with renowned hotel brands. “We deeply thank those who supported us in these awards, but also those who work with us at Axia Hospitality and Nelios on a daily basis, in order for us to receive such distinctions”, Mr Kyritsis and Mr Serifis said. The distinction of the Hands Free Hotelier follows the recent awarding of the service at the Tourism Awards 2016 with the Silver Award for the “most innovative concept, product, operating model or service provider / Start-up”. Organized by Ethos Events and the TIF-HELEXPO, the Greek Hospitality Awards rewarded excellence in Greece’s hotel sector and a total of 63 prizes were presented in four categories: Best Greek Hotels, Best Greek Resorts, Best Greek Hotel & Resort Facilities and Special Awards.
