Located in the Alimos suburb, the four-story apartment complex first opened last year and is OINOI’s first step in the Greek hospitality and tourism industry, following years of operating in real estate and the wine sector. “At OINOI we aim to present a new proposal for a luxurious and comfortable stay in destination ‘Athens’ at a stylish and modern apartment that stands out for its modern aesthetic, unique design concept, modern technology and the comfort of its rooms and services”, the company’s president and CEO, Maria Fragoudaki, told Greek journalists on Tuesday during a tour of the complex. OINOI’s president and CEO, Maria Fragoudaki, with tourism professional Pavlos Zorbas (Santa Marina Mykonos). “We invested in the idea of furnished apartments that provide hotel services, which give the opportunity to visitors to live as they would in the comfort of their own home”, she said. The Scale Suites complex, which includes three deluxe suites (2 Bedroom 1-5 pax capacity), successfully combines high standard accommodation facilities with the quality services of a luxurious modern hotel. In terms of facilities and services, the complex has been created in accordance with international standards of luxury tourist accommodation and services in order to meet the requirements of domestic and international tourism markets. The size of the apartments range from 58 to 120 sq.m. and are fully equipped with spacious rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, underground parking and large terraces for guests to enjoy the view over the Saronic Gulf in their own, personal space. Hotel-type services are available 24 hours a day and include 24 hours concierge, daily housekeeping, on call doctor, laundry/dry-cleaning service upon request, tourist information desk, lounge bar and rental services for cars, helicopters and private aircraft. When asked about occupancy, Ms Fragoudaki said that tourist inflow has been satisfactory and is currently at a rate of some 70 percent. She added that the complex appeals to both leisure and business travellers as well as to families. The length of stay of visitors varies from weekend overnights up to six months. “Scale Suites has received a positive response and our future plans include expanding the same style of accommodation to destinations out of Athens as well”, Ms Fragoudaki said. Each apartment also houses very impressive art paintings of Greek and foreign artists, including works of Ms Fragoudaki who is an artist with a background in the New York art scene. “I am very interested in ‘joining’ art with tourism”, she said, adding that the Scale Suites complex will also be the venue of upcoming art exhibitions.
