Northern Aegean IslandStroggiloKardiotissa The report, which has taken Greek press by storm, lists the Top Seven “best buys” starting with the largest island, Dulichium, in the Ionian selling for 40 million euros; a “Northern Aegean Island”, 30 minutes from Athens by speedboat, is up for 35 million euros; St Thomas (Agios Thomas), just 20 minutes away by water taxi from Corinth and 45 minutes away from Athens, is going for 15 million euros; Kardiotissa Island in the Aegean is available at 6.5 million euros; Stroggilo Island in the Dodecanese near Marathos is going under the hammer for 4.5 million euros; Kythnos Island (land) parcel in the Cyclades and just an hour from Athens by boat with some 25 small houses is going to the best buyer for a mere 3.5 million euros – dropping from the initial 5 million euro price last June; and the Lihnari Peninsula, 10 minutes west of Corinth, whose price was recently slashed in half is selling for 3 million euros.
