According to an announcement, the protocol of cooperation opened a new chapter in the cooperation of the two ministries and creates significant prospects for the tourism development and attraction of investments in Greek areas which have remained unutilized until today. “The two ministries will draw a full action plan together for the utilization of selected estate owned by the National Defence Ministry to promote tourist development and attract investments”, Minister Kountoura said. “From our side, the Ministry of Economy, Growth and Tourism will consider the capabilities of tourist utilization of areas based on proposals submitted by the National Defence Ministry, we will formulate certain proposals following an financial-technical study – if necessary – and we will support the actions of the National Defence Ministry by providing personnel and the expertise that we have in the field of tourist growth”, she added.
