Now known as The Grove Seaside Hotel, the four-star unit has undergone a comprehensive renovation with all 140 guest rooms, being completely refurbished. The renovations, which also included the complete renovation of the public areas, the rooms for the disabled and a complete modernization of the kitchen, were completed at the cost of 1.5 million euros. ReceptionLobbyRoom details The Panagopoulos family, that owns the hotel, is already looking forward to further investment in the near future to revamp The Grove’s exterior areas. The hotel investment program is expected to be completed in 2017. All rooms of The Grove have sea views. The hotel is surrounded by gardens of 12 acres of orange trees and has a restaurant that seats 250 guests, an outdoor restaurant, a 200 m² swimming pool with sun loungers and pool bar, parking, a tennis court, organized beach with sun beds, playground, kiddie pool, volleyball court, outdoor chess, bicycles for hire and play room. Photo: GTP Speaking to Greek journalists recently, Mr Panagopoulos said that The Grove has signed a four-year partnership with leading German tour operator FTI, which will ensure increased bookings from the German market to the hotel. Already, some 60 percent of the hotel’s customers are from German and French tour operators and 40 percent are Greeks and from online bookings. According to Mr Panagopoulos, the hotel is aiming to attract a larger share of the domestic market by offering special and attractive rates to Greek tourists. Photo: GTP Aiming to introduce their guests to Greek local products and recipes, the hotel also offers free cooking classes carried out by Yiagia Kalliope Panagopoulou once or twice a week. Drepano is located near most top attractions in the Argolida region and is only 27 km from Mycenae, 26 km from the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, 47 km from the famous wineries of Nemea and 68 km from Porto Heli and across the island of Spetses.
