Everything from falafel, mac ’n’ cheese and burgers to pastrami, hot dogs and souvlakia, the first Street Food Festival offers Athenians and visitors the chance to try it all and then some along the walkway from Ermou St to Pireos Ave. Besides the wide variety of “street delicacies” from Europe, the US, Asia and Africa prepared by restless chefs and cooks, as well as drinks, smoothies, coffee, cakes and ice creams, the three-day food extravaganza will also include DJs sets, concerts and street parties. A large number of Athens eateries and food trucks are participating in the event. Admission is at 2.50 euros and opening hours run Friday 5pm-1am, Saturday noon- 1am and Sunday noon-11.30pm.
