Athens Airport: Six-month Paid Training Positions Available for 100 Young People

Athens International Airport (AIA) has announced the launch of the “Airport Praxis 2”, a training programme that will offer 100 young people, between the ages of 19 to 29, the opportunity to work at the airport for a period up to six months.

praxis_2_AIA_2The 100 paid training positions involve work in various departments of the airport company that will provide valuable training, knowledge and working experience.

“The Airport Company’s working environment has gained a high place in the industry, while AIA has been honoured as a business entity with numerous international awards and distinctions”, the airport’s management said in an announcement on Thursday.

Eligible to take part in the “Airport Praxis 2” youth employment scheme are:

AIA_15yrs_1b– young people between 19 and 29 years of age, High or Technical School Graduates, interested in working in operations / technical sector, and
– young people between 19 and 29 years of age, students, graduates  or undergraduates  of University (AEI) or Technological Educational Institutes (TEI), interested in obtaining working experience or accomplishing their internship in various departments within the airport company.

Applications for the “Airport Praxis 2” programme must be submitted by June 6 through the airport’s web page.

Through the “Airport Praxis 2” programme, AIA aims to contribute to youth employment in Greece and provide young workers with the necessary working experience and on-the-job training to support their future professional steps.

The programme is the continuation of “Airport Praxis 1” that was implemented in 2014 for 70 young people.
