Organized by the GSTC and backed by Green Evolution SA, the three-day intensive training program – in English – will for the first time this year host a specialized seminar for Personnel Certification on Sustainable Tourism. The event also covers sustainability best practices and offers in-depth understanding of the GSTC criteria applicable for hotels, tour operators and destinations, as well as introduce available tools for sustainable tourism certification. Apart from the exchange of knowledge among the participants, best practice examples from leading sustainable tourism businesses and destinations will be presented. Aiming to raise awareness of sustainable tourism, the curriculum covers global trends in sustainable tourism development, best practices and GSTC criteria, which are the global reference standard for sustainability in travel and tourism. Participants will receive GSTC-endorsed certificate following the successful completion of a written exam. As seats are limited, organizers recommend interested parties register by June 12.
