The B’ class students were awarded honors for their application which offers an audio-visual, multilingual tour of the Temple of Epicurius Apollo, just outside Megalopolis in Messinia. The mid- to late-5th century BC temple dedicated to Apollo – the god of healing and the sun – is one of the finest fully preserved sites in Greece and the first Greek site to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1986. The students presented the project to Minister Kountoura, who praised the initiative and congratulated them on contributing to the development of cultural tourism and the promotion of Greek heritage via digital technology and youth entrepreneurship. She went on to express her support of future student initiatives and wished the students good luck on their participation in the international innovation competition ahead.
