Event News FVW Workshop 2016: Kos Hoteliers Get Ready to Strengthen Business Ties with German Tour Operators by GTP editing team 28 June 2016 written by GTP editing team 28 June 2016 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 12 Leading German tour operators will participate in the annual workshop of FVW, Germany’s leading trade magazine for tourism and business travel, to take place on the island of Kos from June 29 until July 2. The main event will take place on Friday, July 1, at the Kipriotis Congress Center. The FVW Workshop 2016 is organized by Germany’s leading travel industry media group FVW Mediengruppe in cooperation with the Region of South Aegean, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and the Kos Hoteliers Association. The event will be held under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Ministry. During the workshop, the tour operators will analyze the the tourism prospects of the island of Kos, the Southern Aegean and Greece in accordance to data and market trends. The main aim of the workshop is to increase visitor numbers and revenue from the German-speaking markets to the destination. Attendees from the German side will include Florian Fleischer, Head of Product Management Eastern Mediterranean, TUI Germany; Joachim Seip, Director Group Hotel Contracting, Thomas Cook Group; Oliver Grosse-Kleinmann, Director Contracting & Product, Alltours; Nicole Bethke, Senior Product Manager, FTI Group; and Jessica Klebing, Product Manager, Vtours. The event will be coordinated by FVW’s editor-in-chief, Klaus Hildebrandt, who will also present facts and figures on the German tourism market. Speed networking event Aiming to facilitate contacts between professionals, the organizers have announced that a “Speed Dating” event between Kos tourism professionals (hoteliers, travel agents) and German tour operators will take place on the sidelines of the FVW workshop. The meetings are pre-scheduled and brief and encourage both sides to focus on their goals and aim to develop the start of a professional relationship. Registration is required for professionals to participate in the FVW workshop. To participate in the speed dating event, professionals should contact the Kos Hoteliers Association.
