A joint initiative of the Piraeus Municipality and the Urban Rail Transport Authority (STASY) with the support of the Piraeus Municipal Radio, the “Destination Piraeus” campaign aims to attract visitors to the port city and features more than 190 images of Piraeus monuments and landmarks adorning Athens metro stations as well as video screenings at metro and railway (TRAINOSE) stations. “Promoting the city as an attractive tourist destination is a priority for the municipality. In this direction, we have implemented actions and taken steps so that our tourism development strategy proves to be fruitful for the city,” Piraeus Mayor Yannis Moralis said of the month-long campaign, a first in a series of promotional initiatives.
