The survey, to be carried out via questionnaires and brief on-the-spot interviews, will be carried out at the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Kos, Kalamata, Mytilini, Corfu, Heraklion, Chania, Alexandroupolis and Santorini, and in addition to overall satisfaction compared to other airport experiences will gauge the influence of promotional and advertising campaigns on guests’ decision to visit the country, while gathering traveler profile data. The research project is expected to run by October 8 this year once the concession procedure is complete. Questions include personal info (country of origin, age, profession), travel information (holiday destination, accommodation, duration, activities), holiday selection process (method, influences in decision), views about Greece (tourism product assessment, degree of satisfaction), comparison to other destinations, negative aspects and suggestions for improvement, intention of returning to Greece.
