The municipality’s city council recently decided to establish beaches where dogs can freely and legally enjoy the water with other bathers. “We have an excellent cooperation with animal welfare associations and found beaches in Agia Triada, in Angelochori and in Michaniona“, said Thermaikos Mayor Yiannis Mavromatis while speaking on radio station Praktoreio 104,9 FM on Wednesday. In the coming days, special signs will be placed at the selected pet friendly beaches, informing that dogs are allowed to swim there. The Thermaikos Municipality stretches over 50 km of coastline to the east of the city of Thessaloniki.
