This will allow Singapore Airlines’ passengers to begin their trip to the Southeast Asian city state in Europe with the German carrier. Eurowings currently serves Dortmund from Munich as well as various destinations in Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Sweden, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Ireland, France, Poland, Kosovo, Romania, and Switzerland from Dusseldorf. Last year, Singapore Airlines signed a partnership agreement with Lufthansa to operate on routes between Singapore and Europe on a joint-venture basis, to expand codeshare ties and deepen commercial cooperation. The agreement also covers Austrian Airlines, Swiss, and SIA subsidiary SilkAir. According to an announcement by Eurowings, feeder flights to the new Düsseldorf – Singapore route are of particular interest to German air passengers. The route has been included as of July 21 as the third German connection alongside Frankfurt – Singapore and Munich – Singapore and is operated by a modern Airbus A350-900. Asian Aviation is the general sales agent (GSA) of Singapore Airlines in Greece and Cyprus. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
