Pioneering Greeks: Demetrios Fakinos, Design Chief

This week we introduce Demetrios Fakinos, one of the most important figures in Greece in the field of design.

Since 1998 Demetrios has been organizing and managing publications and activities that support and promote the art of graphic design and design, in all its expressions, in Greece and abroad.

Some of the events that he organizes and runs are EBGE, ESO Conference, the European Design Awards, Design Athens and more. On top of all this, he is the publisher of DesignMag.gr, a reference site for graphic design.

Demetrios studied Business Administration at the University of Piraeus and holds a Masters in Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Strathclyde.

Inspired by the dynamism and creativity of the Greek entrepreneurial spirit, LoveGreece was founded in 2013 as an initiative to boost and promote the country’s image abroad by profiling talented and successful Greeks. With their ethos and vision, Greece’s entrepreneurs and professionals are an important aspect of the country worth highlighting to the world. LoveGreece is powered by Gina Mamidaki, the founder of the G & A Mamidakis Foundation.
