Photo © Facebook – ΟΙ ΟΜΟΡΦΙΕΣ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΑΣ ΜΑΣ It’s all about shopping therapy during the fourth “White Night” (Lefki Nychta) event to take place in the Peloponnesian city of Kalamata on the last Saturday of the month, August 27. Participating in the annual trade event, shops and stores across town will open their doors at 8pm through to the wee hours of the morning offering goods at discount prices. At the same time, cultural and music events have been planned throughout the coastal town which will for the most part be pedestrianized to facilitate visitors. Free parking spaces will be open on the outskirts of the city. The “Lefki Nychta” event attracts visitors and holidaymakers to the city, boosts local growth and tourism and provides a chance to let loose and enjoy Kalamata in a different “light”. This year’s “White Night” event is organized by the Kalamata Municipality, the local trade association, the Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Professionals, Craftsmen & Merchants and the Messinia Hoteliers Association with the support of local means of transportation, taxis and public services.
