The TEDxAcademy returns for the 7th year in a row on October 1 to “Re-imagine Greece” at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall.

TEDxAcademy_1During the event, 18 men and women, thinkers and doers from around the world, will share their ideas on a Vision for Greece 2030. The distinguished collection of speakers will share perspectives on Greece and the world that are insightful, thought provoking—and sometimes contradictory.

This year TEDxAcademy invites us to discuss how we can redefine Greece that is currently experiencing crisis in all areas of everyday life, to form a vision for Greece in 2030 and discuss solutions that will allow us to go ahead as a society and country.

Among this year’s speakers at TEDxAcademy’s event in Athens will be George Logothetis, the chairman and CEO of the Libra Group, an international business group comprising 30 subsidiaries active in 35 countries across six continents. The group focuses mainly on shipping, aviation, real estate, hospitality and renewable energy sources. Its numerous global initiatives include the “Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award” established by the Libra Group which offers 10 million euros for the financing of startups in Greece.

“In TEDxAcademy, for the past seven years, we have been promoting innovative ideas, inspiration, creativity, pioneering people with ideas, a vision and solutions for a better tomorrow. The theme of this year’s event is the Greece we dream for 2030. The first step to change our country is to talk about what we dream about it”, the chairman of the TEDxAcademy organizing committee, Niki Syropoulou said.
