we_do_local_creteThe Nana Beach hotel in Heraklion, Crete, has been awarded “We do Local” certification for the second year in a row.

The “We Do Local” initiative grants annual certification to Greek enterprises or ventures that successfully support and promote a destination’s products.

Following an inspection carried out by certification control body Cosmocert in July, the Nana Beach received 865/1,000 points and was found to have fulfilled all the standards to become a “We do Local” certified hotel.

The hotel has now been officially distinguished for its unique hospitality, its support to the island’s workforce and local suppliers, its promotion of local customs, traditions and Cretan gastronomy and for its environment-friendly and sustainable growth practices. The hotel also engages in different campaigns for the preservation and promotion of Crete’s cultural and natural resources.

“The concept behind the ‘We do Local’ initiative is based upon experiencing hospitality in its authentic form, which completely coincides with the philosophy here at Nana Beach”, the hotel management said in an announcement.

The Nana Beach hotel is owned by the Karatzis Group of Companies.
