Minoan Lines: Change of Itineraries Due to 48-hour Strike on September 22-23

Ferry company Minoan Lines has informed that due to the announced 48-hour strike in Greece by the Panhellenic Seamen’s Association (PNO) from 6am on Thursday, September 22, until 6am on Saturday, September 24, itineraries on the Heraklion – Piraeus line and Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona line will be amended.

Domestic Line (Heraklion- Piraeus Line)

Minoan Lines’ evening sailings on Thursday 22.09.2016 and on Friday 23.09.2016 on the Heraklion – Piraeus Line, will be cancelled. Furthermore, on Saturday 24.09.2016 the vessels H/S/F KNOSSOS PALACE and H/S/F FESTOS PALACE will depart from the ports of Heraklion and Piraeus as follows:

SATURDAY 24.09.2016 – EXTRAORDINARY DAILY DEPARTURE FROM HERAKLION & PIRAEUS
– HERAKLION – PIRAEUS, H/S/F KNOSSOS PALACE
Departure from the port of Heraklion, on Saturday (24.09.2016) at 08:30
– PIRAEUS – HERAKLION, H/S/F FESTOS PALACE
Departure from the port of Piraeus, on Saturday (24.09.2016) at 08:30

On Saturday (24.09.2016), the evening departures on Heraklion-Piraeus route will be performed as per standard schedule.

North Adriatic Line (Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona – Trieste Line)

On the North Adriatic line, due to the strike, the itineraries will be amended as follows:

Α. DEPARTURES FROM GREECE – ITALY
Minoan Lines’ sailings on Thursday 22.09 and Friday 23.09.2016 on Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona/Trieste Line will be suspended.

SATURDAY 24.09.2016 – EXTRAORDINARY DAILY DEPARTURE – FROM PATRAS
PATRAS – IGOUMENITSA – ANCONA, CRUISE EUROPA
DEPARTURE: From Patras at 07:00 in the morning via Igoumenitsa to Ancona
The evening scheduled departure from Patras via Igoumenitsa to Ancona will not be performed.

Β. DEPARTURES FROM ITALY – GREECE
Minoan Lines’ sailings on Trieste / Ancona – Igoumenitsa – Patras line will be suspended, on Thursday 22.09.2016 from Trieste and on Saturday 24.09.2016 from Ancona.

FRIDAY 23.09.2016 – EXTRAORDINARY DAILY DEPARTURE – FROM TRIESTE
TRIESTE – ANCONA – IGOUMENITSA – PATRAS , CRUISE OLYMPIA
DEPARTURE: From Trieste at 10:30 (local time) in the morning to the port of Patras

SUNDAY 25.09.2016 – EXTRAORDINARY DAILY DEPARTURE FROM ANCONA

DEPARTURE: from ANCONA at 11:00 (local time) in the morning, via Igoumenitsa to Patras
The evening scheduled departure from Ancona via Igoumenitsa to Patras will not be performed.

Sailings on the North Adriatic route will be performed as per standard schedule on Sunday 25.09.2016, departing from the port of Patras and on Monday 26.09.2016, from the port of Ancona.
