flieger-a330-pushback-eurowingsGerman low-cost carrier Eurowings recently added Miami, Florida, the tourist metropolis in the south-eastern United States, to its long-distance flight programme. The airline launched its maiden flight EW182 from Cologne, Germany’s fourth-largest city, to Miami in early September.

“Our new long-distance flights to popular destinations such as Thailand, Cuba, Mexico and Mauritius have been working at more than 90 percent capacity for months”, Oliver Wagner, Managing Director of Eurowings, said.

The airline’s first-ever Miami service operates three weekly flights using 310-seat Airbus A330 aircraft, which feature 21 premium seats and 289 in economy.

“Miami is an excellent addition to our new long-distance programme. It complements Eurowings’ extensive net of short- and medium-haul flights in Europe and to neighbouring countries”, he added.

Eurowings takes off to Miami on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, respectively at 11:40 am. The airline reaches Florida at 4:10 pm local time and starts back toward Cologne / Bonn at 5:55 pm.

Eurowings is part of the Lufthansa Group of airlines.
