Pigadi, Karpathos The Dodecanese isle’s hidden beaches, colourful cultural traditions and unique local dishes counts among the highlights that writer Paola Manfredi insists Italian travellers should not miss. “Karpathos’ seas have the most amazing colour I’ve ever seen and incredibly beautiful beaches, but do not come here for this. Come here to breathe in the Mediterranean as one should,” she writes. Marketing Greece arranged a press trip to Karpathos for Vanity Fair Italia online, which receives 8.8 million unique visitors monthly, with the support of airline partner Aegean as part of efforts to promote the South Aegean abroad.
