The minister met with tourism department heads from public institutes of vocational training operating in Anavyssos, Thessaloniki, Peloponnese, Heraklion, Galaxidi, Alexandroupoli and Rhodes, who informed her of the schools’ needs in teaching staff and tabled proposals for the improved operation of the facilities as well as ideas for the updated curriculum which should cover the continuously changing tourism market. Additional issues included the promotion of tourism studies available through the ministry so that interested parties are aware of the public programs of study available in the tourism industry.
