Fifteen Swedish cyclists had the chance to learn more about the bicycle options available in Epirus during a recent fam trip this month hosted by the five-star Epirus Palace Hotel & Conference Center in northern Greece, and headed by Epirot champion cyclist Eleftheria Lavari.

Participants had the chance to experience the natural wonders of the Epirus region by completing 80km distances daily to and through the Zagori villages, Metsovo, Parga, Tzoumerka and Ioannina, as well as a lakeside ride along the famed Vikos Gorge.

Besides the cycling experience, the Epirus Palace Hotel guests had the chance to enjoy local delicacies while discussing ways to establish and promote the region into a fully-fledged world cycling destination.

The fam trip was jointly organized by Swedish tour operator Τrawell and Epirus Palace Hotel with the support of the Epirus Region.

The 200-room Epirus Palace Hotel is located in the historic town of Ioannina, in the heart of the so-called Greek Alps.
