In efforts to cut red tape and simplify procedures the Greek Police launched its new e-station operation last week offering 31 services online in four languages.

The new online “police station” is open to citizens, enterprises and organizations and interested parties can now submit applications for legal or administrative purposes, lodge cyber crime complaints or apply for asylum,  alien or expatriate permits.

The site offers digital services in English, Arabic, Spanish, French and Greek, and once citizens send in their request, they will receive a relevant reply.

The new online station, which is currently in its initial stage, is expected to ease traffic at local police stations as interested parties will be able to complete a series of procedures online with the future goal to allow to scan and submit their documents online. Greek police authorities are in the process of training staff in this direction.
