Greece has signed a letter of intent, confirming that it has joined the countries that have signed up to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai.

The letter was delivered to Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Expo 2020 Committee and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines, by Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura on behalf of Greece’s Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

Between October 2020 and April 2021, Dubai will host the next World Expo and bring together more than 180 nations and an international audience of 25 million visitors. The massive event will provide visitors with the chance to see spectacular architecture, merge with global cultures, examine thoughtful and thought provoking exhibitions, and taste food from every corner of the globe.

Minister Elena Kountoura is currently in Dubai where she is attending a series of talks with leading political and economic factors of the United Arab Emirates. The Tourism Ministry is looking to break into the market of the United Arab Emirates to boost tourist arrivals as of next year.
