Travel and tourism insiders from various business areas last month attended the latest event held in Thessaloniki by the Travel Massive Thessaloniki and Northern Greece chapter that focused on the top sites found in northern Greek destinations.

Travel_Massive_Thessaloniki_logoOrganized by nonprofit company Top Tourism, the Thessaloniki Union of Tourist Guides and the European & Pan-Hellenic Federation of Tourist Guides Associations, the event included videos, great input, talks and discussions about the sites of Northern Greece. Professional insight was provided by the main speakers of the event, Efi Kalamboukidou, president of the European & Panhellenic Federation of Tourist Guides Associations and Fotini Likisa, president of Thessaloniki Union of Tourist Guides and Guides.

Following is a video made with photos provided by the Thessaloniki Union of Tourist Guides:

The highlight of the event was the live skype chat that took place with members of the European & Pan-Hellenic Federation of Tourist Guides Associations from Vienna and London, who spoke about the most popular sites of Northern Greece and discussed issues involving the tourist guide profession.

“The success of the event gives us the strength to continue supporting Travel Massive Thessaloniki and Northern Greece and promote the initiative to all tourism sectors in Northern Greece”, says chapter leader Maria Athanassopoulou, VP Marketing Respond On Demand.

This was the seventh event hosted by the chapter in a period of 12 months since the chapter was first launched.

Travel Massive Thessaloniki and Northern Greece have already started planning its next event in cooperation with the Travel Massive Slovenia chapter that will take place in December.
