The non-profit child welfare organization Smile of the Child recently honored Spyrou Hotels with a certificate of appreciation for supporting free dental examinations for students on the island of Skopelos.
“We are very humbled to receive this acknowledgement from The Smile of the Child“, said George Michalis, general director of Spyrou Hotels and Spyrou Philoxenia. “Corporate Responsibility is needed now more than ever. The unprecedented economic crisis Greece is facing should not turn into a social crisis”.
In October, the mobile dental unit of The Smile of the Child, along with members from the Dental Association of Magnesia, offered free dental examinations to students in Primary and Secondary education in the municipalities of Southern Pilio and Northern Sporades. Spyrou Hotels offered accommodations for the visiting dentists at Rigas Hotel located in the town of Skopelos during examinations on the island.
“At Spyrou Hotels and Spyrou Philoxenia, our efforts are focused on initiatives centered around our core values of humanity and the environment”, Michalis said.
