According to data, both domestic and international passengers in October demonstrated a strong increase of 8.8 percent and 14.2 percent respectively. Greek and foreign travellers increased at the level of 20 percent and 8 percent respectively. Overall, during the January through October 2016 period, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 17.3 million, corresponding to an increase of 10.4 percent against the respective 2015 period, with domestic passengers growing by 12.1 percent and international travellers by 9.5 percent. Both Greek and foreign travellers enjoyed an increase at the level of 15 percent and 8 percent respectively, during the first 10 months of the year.
