Delta Air Lines is bringing Greece and the United States closer together by offering more than 60 destinations throughout North America, Latin America and the Caribbean in the summer of 2017 via its nonstop service between Athens International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

delta-logoRe-starting on April 15, 2017, Delta has scheduled a 293-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route, which is operated in conjunction with joint venture partners Air France, KLM and Alitalia. This will be followed by a second daily service from June 2, meeting the travel demand between Greece and the United States during the peak summer months.

“We have a long history of serving Greece and continue to be the only airline offering nonstop flights between Athens and New York,” said Dwight James, Delta’s Senior Vice President – trans-Atlantic.

“Offering double daily service in the peak summer enables more travel options between our countries enhancing both trade and tourism opportunities.”

Delta’s Athens – New York schedule is as follows:

Passengers travelling in the Delta One business class cabin will enjoy fully flat-bed seats and a range of seasonal dining options accompanied by wines selected exclusively for Delta by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson. Delta Comfort+, meanwhile offers up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Main Cabin seats, as well as priority boarding. Throughout the aircraft, all passengers have access to on-demand in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi so customers can stay connected at 30,000 feet.
