Company updates Air France-KLM Strengthens Partnership with Copa Airlines by GTP editing team 22 November 2016 written by GTP editing team 22 November 2016 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 15 Air France and Copa Airlines recently announced a new codeshare agreement on five routes operated by the Panamanian airline. Air France-KLM group customers can now fly — as a continuation of flights operated by Air France — between Panama City and San José (Costa Rica) with two daily flights and San Salvador (El Salvador) with one daily flight. As soon as government approval is obtained, the Group’s customers will also be able to fly to Guatemala City (Guatemala), Managua (Nicaragua) and Tegucigalpa (Honduras) with one daily flight on departure from Panama City. “Strengthening our partnership with Copa Airlines enables the Air France-KLM group to expand on the Central American markets”, Patrick Alexandre, EVP Commercial, Sales & Alliances at Air France-KLM said, adding that the new codeshare agreements complete its offer in line with the Paris – Panama offer and the launch, on November 2, of Air France’s Paris-San José route. On the announced flights, customers can earn and spend their Miles within the framework of the Flying Blue loyalty program. Passengers also benefit from a single ticket for their entire journey, a wider choice of flights to Central America and baggage checked in to their final destination. “The new codeshare agreement between Copa Airlines and Air France reinforces our commitment to passengers travelling between Europe and Latin America via the hub of the Americas in Panama”, said Dennis Cary, SVP of Commercial & Planning at Copa Airlines. The new agreement is complementary with the 11 services offered by KLM on a codeshare basis by Copa Airlines on departure from Panama City to Central America and South America: Santiago (Chile), San José (Costa Rica), Guatemala City (Guatemala), San Pedro, Tegucigalpa (Honduras), Kingston, Montego (Jamaica), Managua (Nicaragua), Lima (Peru), San Juan (Puerto Rico) and San Salvador (El Salvador).
