Greek Seamen Announce 24-hour Strike, No Ferries on December 8

ferry_flag_IMG_9581_1Ferry boats in Greece will not be in service on Thursday, December 8, as the Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) has announced a 24-hour strike in all ship categories.

The Greek seamen are protesting against a possible increase in their income tax, pension cuts, uninsured labor, increased unemployment in their sector and “constant violation of working conditions” in their sector.

PNO said the strike will begin at 12:01 am on Thursday, December 8.
