Company updates Minoan Lines Changes Itineraries Due to 48-hour Strike of Greek Seamen by GTP editing team 30 November 2016 written by GTP editing team 30 November 2016 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 4 Festos Palace Ferry company Minoan Lines has informed that due to the announced 48-hour strike in Greece by the Panhellenic Seamen’s Association (PNO) from 6am on Friday, December 2, until 6am on Sunday, December 4, itineraries on the Heraklion – Piraeus line and Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona/Trieste Line will be amended. – Domestic Line (Heraklion- Piraeus Line) Minoan Lines’ evening sailings on Friday, December 2, and on Saturday, December 3, on Heraklion – Piraeus Line, will be cancelled. Furthermore, on Sunday, December 4, the vessels H/S/F Knossos Palace and H/S/F Festos Palace will depart from the ports of Heraklion and Piraeus, as follows: Sunday, December 4 – Extraordinary midday itinerary – Heraklion – Piraeus, H/S/F Festos Palace: Departure from the port of Heraklion at 07:00 – Piraeus – Heraklion, H/S/F Knossos Palace: Departure from the port of Piraeus at 07:00 Sunday, December 4 – Evening itineraries On Sunday, the evening departures on Heraklion-Piraeus route will be performed as per standard schedule. – North Adriatic Line (Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona – Trieste Line) On the North Adriatic line, due to the strike, the itineraries will be amended as follows: Cruise Olympia Α. Departures from Greece – Italy Minoan Lines’ sailings from the port of Patras, on Friday, December 2 and Saturday December 3, will be suspended. Thursday, December 1 – Change of departure time from Patras (18:00) – Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona, Cruise Europa Departure: Sunday 04.12.2016 – Extraordinary itinerary – from Patras (when departure is permitted) – Patras – Igoumenitsa – Ancona, Cruise Olympia Cruise Olympia will sail from the port of Patras via Igoumentisa to Ancona, on Sunday 04.12.16, when departure is permitted, instead of the scheduled departure time at 18:00, on the same day. Cruise Europa B. Departures from Italy – Greece Minoan Lines’ sailings on Trieste / Ancona – Igoumenitsa – Patras line will be suspended, on Thursday, December 1 and on Sunday, December 4, from Italy. Friday, December 2 – Extraordinary itinerary – from Trieste – Trieste – Ancona – Igoumenitsa – Patras, Cruise Olympia Departure: From Trieste at 10:30 (local time), to Ancona, Igoumenitsa with final port of call the port of Patras. Saturday, December 3 – Ancona – Igoumenitsa – Patras, Cruise Europa Departure: From Ancona at 16:30 (local time), via Igoumenitsa, with final port of call the port of Patras. (as per standard schedule). Sailings on the North Adriatic route will be performed as per standard schedule on Monday, December 5, departing from Greece and Italy respectively.
