aegli-hotelThe historic Aegli Hotel in Volos is making the finishing touches to its modern renovation and will be in full operation just in time for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Aiming to maintain its identity and combine its past glamour with the needs of the present and also with future trends, the hotel is re-establishing itself as a tourism product amongst the city’s hotels.

The hotel’s “new look” can already be seen throughout the premises. Renovation works began in mid-August and will be completed by mid-December. Day by day the hotel is transforming both its interior and exterior, without suspending its operation that has not stopped since 1938.

Aegli’s new features will include more choices of room types and suites (48 double rooms, 13 triple rooms, 2 single rooms, 7 family rooms and 3 suites), thus covering every accommodation need.

Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the Aegli Hotel is located at the most privileged spot in town, with a fantastic view on Volos port.

Volos is a coastal port city in Thessaly, the country’s largest agricultural region, and an important industrial center.
