Cretan Holidays Destination Management is a member of K. Badouvas S.A. companies and one of the leading incoming tourism enterprises in Greece, operating in the industry since 1972. Cretan Holidays began its cooperation with Netsemantics in 2009 by installing the integrated back office software platform nsTravel ERP, in an effort to manage its daily operations more effectively. “Through this specific platform we ensured the necessary automations: in the mass input of bookings from tour operators and their management, management of contracts; management of transport, management of local travel packages, as well as financial management. The nsTravel ERP platform has successfully supported the expansive course of our company all these years, with the creation of branches in many Greek destinations”, Kostas Markaris, General Manager of Cretan Holidays, said in reference to the partnership. Over the past two years Cretan Holidays expanded its cooperation with Netsemantics by installing the nsHub electronic distribution system, aiming to ensure: 1. On-line connection with electronic distribution networks for sales of products through XML API or PUSH Services. 2. On-line sales of products to B2B partners through booking engines. 3. Sales of local travel packages by reps through mobile applications. “The flexibility and technological innovation of the Netsemantics platform, combined with the high quality support services that it offers, establishes Netsemantics as an ally to our future business plans”, Markaris added. Referring to the cooperation with Cretan Holidays, founder and CEO of NetSemantics, Kostas Panopoulos said: “We are extremely proud that this integrated platform successfully supports the business plans of Cretan Holidays in effectively serving incoming tourism as well as contributing to the online distribution of the tourism product. The main goal of our company is to constantly evolve our platform to the level of automating operations and to integrate innovative methods for the distribution of the tourism product.” By using state-of-the-art technology, NetSemantics has created an integrated platform for the tourism industry, with ERP and CRM features that fully covers the needs of travel agencies or tour operators (nsTravel); a specialized product (nsHub) for compiling availabilities and prices for the tourism products in a central hub and their distribution through electronic channels; and a specialized product (nsTIS) for front office management for online bookings (booking engines) and the sales of travel packages and other services through mobile devices (mobile app). It is noted that Cretan Holidays handles some 400,000 travelers per year mainly in Crete, as well as to the destinations of Rhodes, Kos, Zakynthos, Corfu, Kefalonia, Samos, Thasos, Kalamata. It is one of the largest and oldest incoming travel agencies in Greece with activities in the German, Dutch, Belgian and French Market. It has a rich inventory of availability contracts in hundreds of hotels across Greece and also serves the necessary transport needs of arrivals, departures and excursions mainly by using privately owned buses. The company also organizes an array of excursions in the destinations it serves. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
