The Capital Link Forum is the most important conference in North America that exclusively concerns the promotion of investments in Greece and attracts businessmen, investors, bankers, technocrats and political officials Minister Kountoura will be the keynote speaker in a special section of the forum entitled “Investment Opportunities in Tourism & Hospitality”. She will lead a panel discussion attended by Achilles Constantakopoulos, Chairman & CEO – TEMES SA; Miltos Kambourides, Founder & Managing Partner – Dolphin Capital; Spyros Spyropoulos, Senior Advisor – Oaktree Capital Management; and Eftichios Vassilakis, Vice Chairman – Aegean Airlines S.A.. The forum will also include webcast messages by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and George Chouliarakis, Alternate Minister of Finance – Hellenic Republic. On the sidelines of the forum, the tourism minister will attend scheduled meetings with investor groups, accompanied by the Secretary General for Tourism Policy and Development, Yiorgos Tziallas. Moreover, during her stay in New York, the minister will attend a series of meetings aimed to boost tourist arrivals from America to Greece in 2017 and 2018. She will also promote new opportunities and partnerships regarding thematic tourism products, including cultural tourism, religious-pilgrimage tourism, wellness tourism and other forms. Her agenda includes meetings with New York’s main tour operators, major players of the film industry and representatives of American universities and educational institutions that are interested in promoting academic and educational tourism from the US to Greece. She will also discuss the possibilities of launching and promoting joint Greek-Israeli travel packages in the US market. Minister Kountoura will also travel to Toronto in Canada and deliver a speech at a special event, organized by the Greek Consulate, for the promotion of Greece as an attractive tourism destination. She will also meet with tour operators, representatives of development agencies and Chambers, investors and representatives of the Greek Community.
