The countdown to the delivery of the most modern long-haul aircraft and the newest addition to the Lufthansa fleet has begun.

On December 19, Lufthansa will receive its first A350-900, and on December 21 the Airbus will be transferred from Toulouse to Munich, with expected arrival in the afternoon. Following this, the A350-900 will be making guest appearances at numerous German airports, conducting flight training exercises with a range of different takeoff and landing procedures during the period before and after the Christmas holidays.

Exclusive A350 flight from Munich to Hamburg on February 9

The A350-900 will conduct a special flight, on February 9, 2017, just one day before the aircraft begins its regular commercial service from Munich to Delhi on February 10.

On this return flight from Munich to Hamburg, guests will have the opportunity to be among the first passengers on board one of the world’s most modern long-haul aircraft. Takeoff will be at 10:30 am and landing in the Hanseatic city is scheduled for 12 noon. The passengers will return to Munich at approximately 5:00 pm.

Lufthansa plans to base ten type A350-900 aircraft at its Munich hub. In total, 25 aircraft were ordered; it has yet to be decided where the remaining 15 aircraft are to be based.

The world’s most modern long-haul aircraft produces 25 percent fewer emissions than comparable types of aircraft and is also considerably quieter during takeoff.
