In the new position, Ms. Cissell will be responsible for the representation and the general coordination, as well as the development of Qatar Airways’ operations in the Greek market. Ms. Cissell is considered a key executive for the airline, as she has been working at Qatar Airways for the last 16 years and her selection for the position is taken as an investment, that highlights further the emphasis put by Qatar Airways in its operations in this region. The Cypriot market will also be under the new Country Manager’s supervision. “I am especially honored by this decision and I take upon my new role as the Country Manager of Qatar Airways in Greece & Cyprus with a high level of responsibility, aiming to offer my deep knowledge and expertise for further growth of the company, as well as of the travel industry in the area”, Ms. Cissell said. “I am delighted for my new duties and optimistic about the future of Qatar Airways in these two markets.” Her experience and course in important positions within the airline such as Commercial Manager Cyprus, Area Manager Oman, Business Development and Performance Manager Arabian Peninsula and Iran, is expected to play a crucial role to the further improvement of Qatar Airways’ status and expand the company’s vision and strategic goals in the market. “The appointment of Theresa Cissell in this role will give our company a significant boost and will help grow our business in both Greece and Cyrprus”, Jonathan Harding, Qatar Airways SVP Europe said. “With Theresa leading the team we are certain that we have a strong and efficient team in the market that will work in order to make our ambition for continuous growth come true.
