SETE, founded in 1991, is the representative association for tourism enterprises in Greece, as well as independent companies operating across the broader tourism sector. According to an announcement, the two hotels aim to gain from the insight and education the confederation provides to its members and boost their networking relationships. Porto Palace Hotel Housed in a historic building from 1913 and maintaining its industrial architecture, Porto Palace is one of the most distinctive hotels in Thessaloniki. With 176 rooms and 10 fully equipped meeting/conference spaces, the hotel is considered ideal to host large business events, local or international congresses as well as social events. The hotel’s historical Grand Pietra Hall is the biggest conference hall in Northern Greece that can host up to 2,500 delegates. Moreover, Porto Palace is a member and represented on the boards of the Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO), the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau (TCB) and the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (SBBE). Aegli Hotel Open since 1938, the Aegli Hotel is located at the most privileged spot in town, with a fantastic view of Volos port. Known for its neo-classical architecture, the hotel in 2016 underwent an extensive renovation to its interior and exterior. The newly revamped Aegli consists of 72 rooms of all sizes (including family rooms) and three luxury suites which are equipped with the latest comforts and amenities. Aegli has maintained its identity and combines its past glamour with the needs of the present and also with future trends.
