Grand Opening for Renovated ‘GB Corner Gifts & Flavors’ in Athens

A large crowd lined up on Thursday to attend the grand opening of the renovated GB Corner Gifts & Flavors shop of the Hotel Grande Bretagne in central Athens.

The renovated shop offers a variety of unique items and gifts including authentic GB products, Zeus + Dione womenswear, Brunello Cucinelli’s cashmere collections and a selection of pastry creations of award winning French pastry chef Arnaud Larher.

Larher was present to greet guests and gave them the opportunity to sample his French tarts, pastries and famous chocolates. All of Larher’s sweet creations will be set up this year in a specially designed space in the the GB Corner Gifts & Flavors shop. This new addition to the shop, follows the successful collaboration of Larhar with the hotels Grande Bretagne and King George in June 2016 when the chef created a tailor made desert and pastry menu.

Meanwhile, the shop’s display case was a show on its own with its impressive desserts such as Tarte Tentation, Expression Chocolat, Tarte Tatin, Paris-Brest, Tarte Hawai, Tarte Citron, Monte Cristo, Casse Noisette and Saint Honore Bahia.

Guests also tasted the Grande Bretagne’s renowned multi-color macarons which were available in a variety of flavors including classic and Greek with mastiha, chalva and olive oil.
