As part of its ongoing #elladakonta (Closer to Greece) campaign introducing flyers to the secrets of Greece, Aegean Airlines brings the Region of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace into the spotlight this month complete with its sites, sounds and tastes.

For the month of February, passengers traveling Aegean will have the chance to sample unique products from Eastern Macedonia-Thrace as well as dishes inspired by local cuisine. Some of the delicacies on offer include the popular butter cookie or “kourabies” with chocolate, local cheese and famed cold cuts.

Meanwhile, Aegean Business Lounge will be serving mini snacks with salami from Xanthi, locally-produced cheeses and jams as well as the region’s traditional pie made of grape must.

During its flights, Aegean will be screening “A True Living Experience”, showcasing Eastern Macedonia-Thrace and its offerings.

Aegean has collaborated with local producers and bodies as well as with the Ethnological Museum of Thrace.
