Hoteliers, tourism professionals, public and private stakeholders met to discuss the creation of a far-reaching promotional strategy which will highlight individual destination features, involve public-private partnerships, promote local production, innovation and sustainable tourism practices across the Peloponnese, which includes such major archaeological sites as Myceneae, Epidaurus and Ancient Olympia, and favourite destinations including Mani, Nafplio and Monemvasia.

All parties agreed to work together to establish a strategy that will promote the region of the Peloponnese as a whole and target high-income travelers. It will also focus on educating employees and employers in tourism ad travel in efforts to set up a viable framework of operation that will ensure employment and growth for the Peloponnese region as whole as well as for individual  local communities.
