Invited to the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels’ stand and in the framework of the “Greek Breakfast” project, the Kefalonia & Ithaca Hotel Association participated in the event with traditional island products and dishes including ‘’strapatsada”, cheese and meat pies, local sweets and cheeses. HORECA guests had the chance to indulge in some of the island’s finest products while learning more about its tourism offerings. In the meantime, sector professionals and hoteliers discussed ways to ensure that traditional Kefalonia cuisine is incorporated into the breakfast served at hotels across the island. Kefalonia is the largest Ionian island, known worldwide for the vast Myrtos Beach as well as for its local cuisine, sweets and wine. Other destinations that presented their Greek Breakfast menus to HORECA visitors included Amorgos, Syros, Lesvos, Corinth and Messinia.
