In collaboration with social welfare groups Boroume and Nostos, the Hilton Athens is donating one freshly-baked breadbasket for every bread basket served at its in-house restaurants daily to the Emfasis Foundation.

The move, in cooperation with traditional bakery Pnyka, is part of Hilton Athens’ ongoing social responsibility program “Dine with a Purpose” and demonstrates its commitment to supporting the local community and protecting the environment.

The Emfasis Foundation is a non-profit organization operating in Athens, providing humanitarian aid to vulnerable and socially excluded groups in need of social, psychological and family support though ”social street work’’.

The Hilton Athens aims through “Dine with a Purpose” to inform and engage the local community and visitors to the city to support its mission by participating in the efforts to make a change.

The hotel has remained committed to offering community support as well as to protecting the environment. Social responsibility initiatives include recycling and energy management projects as well as offering young people the chance to train in hospitality improving their prospects of employment.
