In only its sixth month of operation, the Electra Metropolis is celebrating unprecedented success within the hospitality and tourism industry. During this year’s Greek Hospitality Awards, the new hotel scooped two gold awards in the categories of Best City Hotel and Best Green City Hotel and one silver in the Top Greek Hotel 2017 category. In its third year, the Greek Hospitality Awards rewarded excellence in Greece’s hotel sector in four categories: Best Greek Hotels, Best Greek Resorts, Best Greek Hotel & Resort Facilities and Special Awards. Thanking all who voted and supported the Electra Metropolis, the marketing director of Electra Hotels & Resorts, Yiannis Tsakalos, said that the effort continues so that all of the group’s hotels will experience similar wins. “The hard work has been rewarded and I must express my warm congratulations to George Spyropoulos, the general manager of the Electra Metropolis, as well as to the hotel’s whole team for the huge effort they have made in the last six months, as well as to all who contributed for the hotel to reach this top position,” Tsakalos told the Greek Travel Pages (GTP).
