Greek Hospitality Awards 2017 Highlight Greece’s Best

The Greek Hospitality Awards, organized by Ethos Media events and Hrima magazine, once again recognised and rewarded excellence provided by Greece’s very best hotels and resorts.

The prestigious Greek Hospitality Awards 2017 gala dinner took place at the Ethniki Asfalistiki Conference Center in Athens with an attendance of some 200 industry professionals and in the presence of Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura. In its third year, the event was hosted by Greek journalist Haris Digrintakis and Ethos Media Public  Events Executive Christina Tsouhlari.

During her speech, Minister Kountoura underlined the importance of the event as it supports and promotes the work and efforts of the hotel sector in Greece. “The awards highlight quality, innovation, leadership and excellence,” she said.

The winners of this year’s Greek Hospitality Awards followed a voting process by a panel of industry experts combined with online votes of the general public. According to organizer Ethos Media, a total of 14,722 votes were cast.

Honorary Award recipients

During the ceremony, honorary awards were given to this year’s:

• “Greek Hospitality Influencer”: Alexandros Angelopoulos, CEO, Aldemar Resorts

• “Most Hospitable Airline”: Turkish Airlines

Top Greek Hotel 2017

The top prize of the ceremony was the award for the “Top Greek Hotel 2017”, which was given by Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura.

The Greek Hospitality Awards 2017 were held under the auspices of the  Tourism Ministry, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the Hellenic Hotel Federation and TIF-HELEXPO.
