Aiming to strengthen the brand of Thessaly and reach out to new markets, the team behind the “Thessaly Tourism Partnership” recently presented an integrated marketing plan for the region during a special event in the town of Volos.

The far-reaching promotional campaign was made possible through the collaboration of Marketing Greece, the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) and Coca-Cola HBC – which make up the “Thessaly Tourism Partnership”.

The comprehensive marketing plan – targeted for the most part to the French, British, Italian, German and Austrian markets – focuses on the experiential aspect of Thessaly destinations with tourism options available all year round.

Indicatively, the “Thessaly Handcrafted by Time” video (below), features the story of Thessaly and aims together with more than 30 applications to promote the region and its offerings as well as introduce the traveler to the region, its culture, gastronomy and alternative activities.

‘’We are aiming to securely position Thessaly as a strong option for European travelers seeking a new original suggestion,’’ Marketing Greece General Manager Iossif Parsalis.

Meanwhile, as part of the “Thessaly Tourism Partnership” scheme, local tourism professionals will have the chance to participate in a training and educational program aiming to upgrade the quality of services, introduce innovation and boost entrepreneurship.
