At the recent Tourism Awards 2017 in Greece, the company received a gold award for its innovative concept in the “Strategy and Innovation – Custom-Made Travel Experiences” category and a silver award in the “Digital Tourism – Digital Destination Guides” category. Travelgems offers custom-made travel experiences through a digital platform, which includes a wide data base of 4,000 elements, thus can design and create travel guides and propose activities adjusted to the needs of each traveler for 52 destinations in Greece. It includes information on 1,500 restaurants, 1,010 beach bars and cafes, 900 beaches, 400 bars and 360 activities, offering 4,000 activities in total proposed by 1,000 local curators. Travelgems’ network was recently extended and now provides similar services in Cyprus and Croatia, while it is planning to launch the “Travelgems mobile-app” within the next few months.
